Subjective Happiness
Irony is at work when a homeless man at soup kitchen says that he is leading a happy life while a billionaire might think otherwise. Like so, the definition of happiness and the conditions in which a person can achieve it varies among people. Because happiness itself is a subjective idea, the causes of happiness differentiate among individuals. In the context of the modern day, happiness is usually correlated to fulfilling material desires. But personally, being happy is the status of maintaining emotional health.
To illustrate, one of the main ways to structure an emotionally stable life is to build a happy social life. Because all human beings are inherently social animals, everyone tends to crave for relationships. The types of relationships are not necessarily limited to bonds between the opposite genders, but expand onto relations between peers, co-workers, and family. To delve deeper, we tend to become happier once the realization that are needed by someone strikes us. The cozy feeling that one gets when he is loved by his fellows contributes to happiness.
Also, another way to build a happy life through emotional stability is to have a solid hobby. Through a hobby one can maintain emotional health in two main ways. First, a hobby can be one of the main methods of relieving stress. By working something that one is passionate about, he or she is able to forget about other elements of life that cause stress, therefore becoming happier. Also, a hobby is a way to gain a sense of accomplishment; it is a impetus for self-improvement. By building onto oneself, he is able to feel a sense of fulfillment, which can lead to a higher level of satisfaction over life.
Evidently, material possession can increase only a small facet of happiness while emotional stability leads to the construction of an ultimately more stable form of happiness. Some causes of such happiness include a healthy social life, and a hobby. The emotional benefits from our everyday activities may consequently lead to a happier life.

On Happiness; Priceless
ReplyDeleteIrony is at work when s homeless man at a soup kitchen might be happy with his life while someone who is gifted with all the world’s riches might feel like some things are missing in life. The definition of happiness and the conditions in which happiness thrives probably varies among people. Being a subjective idea, everyone defines happiness in their own unique way. However in the context of the modern day, most people usually associate the emotion of being happy with material desires. However materialism’s sweetness surely cannot last a long while, and in the end it will probably conclude in a note of just deserts. On the other hand, emotional benefits enrich our lives and encourage us to lead happier lives. Therefore, the cause of happiness is a healthy emotional status.
To illustrate, one of the main ways to construct a happy life through emotional stability is to have a solid hobby. Every single being probably has a daily activity that they are especially partial to. Hobbies come in many forms and media including sports, self development, the arts and many more. Hobbies can be beneficiaries to happy lives in two main ways; as a method of relieving stress and a foundation for self-esteem. For example, by working on something that one is passionate about, he is able to zone out and forget about other elements of life that cause stress, or can gradually let go of the emotional strain by being focused for a prolonged period of time. In addition, a hobby can generate a sense of accomplishment; it is a impetus for self-improvement. When engaged in a series of productive behavior, one is able to build onto himself. However being a major procrastinator, it is not a tangible task to experience such a sensation through academic endeavors. But hobbies on the other hand, are a great opportunity to build onto oneself. This leads to the gradual development of a higher self-esteem which may consequently become the basis for a emotional stability.
Also, another way to establish emotional stability for a happier life is to structure a healthy social life. Borrowing words from the great mind of Aristotle, “Humans are inherently social animals” and everyone tends to crave for positive relationships. The definition of relationship here is not focused on the bonds between the two opposite genders, but it expands onto the relations between peers, co-workers, families, and even maybe professors. To delve deeper into this point, people tend to become happier at the realization that they are needed. It might be an uncomfortable truth, but it is doubtful that any man can live on his own for the entirety of his life. The warm cozy feeling that one gets when he is loved by his fellows most definitely contributes to a happier social life.
Last but definitely not the least, one of the best methods of obtaining inner peace would be to go on a trip. A trip does not necessarily have to be an extravagant adventure wandering off to the wonders of a foreign country, but rather it could just be a simple act of straying from one’s daily routine to have some time for himself. Frequently, most problems that cause high levels of anxiety can be resolved alone; we just need some time to organize our thoughts and heal ourselves emotionally. Take a casual walk to a park nearby, or stare at clouds. There are myriad places to explore in life and taking some time off from everything and relaxing can be the source of great emotional stability.
Of course material possessions are an inevitable facet of human life, and for some it might cause happiness. However, such things are dull and meaningless. The word happy is actually a lot less complex than people accredit it for. From a personal standpoint, being happy equates to being satisfied. A shining red Porsche or a penthouse in New York City might make it a smoother and stylish ride to get there, but all that is needed to become happy is a fun hobby, great friends, and some personal time to make things shine.
Irony is at work when a homeless man might be content with his life while someone who has all the riches in the world might feel as though some things are missing in life. Like so, the definition of happiness and the conditions in which it thrives varies among people. Being a subjective idea, everyone defines happiness in their own unique way. Although modern society tends to consider the satiation of material desires as an equivalent to happiness, it is only temporal. Emotional benefits that enrich our lives, on the other hand, tend to encourage us to lead happier lives. Therefore the cause of happiness would be our emotions, and maintaining a healthy status of emotions is imperative.
ReplyDeleteThere are many ways to maintain healthy emotions, and one of them is to have a solid hobby. Hobbies come in many forms and can be beneficial in two main ways; it is a method of relieving stress and is also a foundation for self improvement. When working on something that one is passionate about, he is able to zone out and gradually forget the causes of anxiety. In addition, a hobby can create a sense of accomplishment; it is an impetus for self improvement. When working towards something one enjoys, he is able to be more productive. They are a viable method of building onto oneself. Such progress on productivity leads to personal satisfaction, which is also the basis for emotional health.
Also, another way to establish emotional healthiness could be to structure a healthy social life. Borrowing words from Aristotle, humans are inherently social animals and everyone tends to desire positive relationships. This relationship could be between lovers, peers, co-workers, family members or any other social encounter we experience throughout the day. In order to enjoy happiness, it is necessary to learn how to make others happy. Simple gestures, such as smiling or saying hello are the basis of a healthy social life. Happy people do not make a friendly society; rather friendly society is bound to inhibit happy people.
Lastly, one of the best ways to become emotionally healthy could be to go on a journey. A journey does not necessarily have to be a dynamic venture; rather it could be just a simple act of straying off the daily routine to spend time alone. Frequently, most problems that cause high levels of anxiety tend to be problems that can be resolved alone, but people might need some solitude to think through things more clearly. Taking a casual walk to a park nearby, staring at the clouds, or skate boarding through the city can give us some time to organize our thoughts and heal ourselves emotionally. Exploring many places, and sometimes ourselves, can be a great source of emotional health.
The word happy is a lot less complex than people accredit it for. Personally, being happy means being satisfied. In that sense material possessions have little or no meaning. Such things are in dull and meaningless. In a sense, materialism is merely an example of satiating emotional desires. But at the end of the day, all that is needed to become truly happy is a hobby, great friends, and some personal time to make things shine.
