All of us may have the experience of hearing shocking news that some celebrities committed suicide. They looked like they've got everything such as money, popularity and honor. However, they lacked the most simple but important thing in life that makes us want to live: happiness. So, if material value cannot make us happy, what is the real secret of happiness? It comes from the conditions of loving your work, having a dream and having your supporting party. The very first secret of happiness lies in satisfaction. I mean, you should be able to find value in what you do. Leading on from finding value, you must be able to love your work. It doesn't matter what you do for a living as the amount of money you earn doesn't affect your satisfaction. People who understand how valuable thing their work is can feel satisfaction and become happy. The next condition for happiness is having a dream. There is a saying that goes, "What makes the engine go? Desire, desire, desire." We are a living creature with endless desires, and dream is the thing that makes us want to live. All of us keep at least one dream in mind, and that's the driving force of our life as we can feel the happiness during the process of pursuing our dream. The last condition for happiness is having a supporting party. We are social creatures that cannot live alone in the society; it means that we cannot be happy without our own people. There are people who always love and support whatever we do. As they got our back, we overcome our frustrations and let the life go on. Although I explained in this writing that the secrets of life are loving our work, having a dream and having our own supporting party, it may not be the real answer to the question. However, one thing is definite. Happiness doesn't come from material value. So, stop envying the things we don't have, and find happiness around us. We got all the things to be happy. |

Each body paragraph contains a topic sentence that defines a specific cause.
The causes explain in a logical way.
The writer uses connecters to show cause and effect.
The conclusion restates the cause.
The evaluation in the conclusion: “However, one thing is definite. Happiness doesn't come from material value. So, stop envying the things we don't have, and find happiness around us. We got all the things to be happy.”

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your writing and especially I like your first paragraph. The examples of celebrity's story made me interesting at the beginning.
Your main point seems like even though you focused on 3 secrets of happiness, they are not always the definite answers, which means we should not focused on material values.
As I mentioned before, I like your first paragraph(hook) and the title. The word 'secret' made me read your essay.
But at the last paragraph, I became a little bit curious. You wrote like 'Although I explained in this writing that the secrets of life are loving our work, having a dream and having our own supporting party, it may not be the real answer to the question'. the phrase 'it may not be the real answer to the question' made me feel like 'then what is the answer?'. so I think it would be better if you changed that part like ' there may be more valuable secrets for happiness'.
