Yoon-Shik Shin/EQUIP -Teacher Essay/Tuesday 9am Class

The majority of people around the world are subject to twelve years of compulsory education. Throughout this educational career, people are destined to meet many types of teachers. One of the most memorable teachers was Mr. Cunniff, who was my English teacher in the eighth grade. He was tall and skinny like The Cat from Dr. Seuss's famous story book. Whenever he emphasized important parts of the lesson, he would hop around the classroom, his usually vivid colored ties soaring through the air. His enthusiasm towards teaching was evident whenever his eyes widened as he took out one of his crazy comics that explain difficult vocabulary at us. However, he was also strict in disciplining us. He would yell, "Please fill out the DND (Did Not Do) sheet Mister Shin!" whenever I did not do my homework. Not only did he teach us English, but he also taught us the qualities of a good student. Meeting him was probably one of the luckiest breaks I had during my academic career.
